The Life of Grand Master Helio Gracie and his contributions to mankind

Grand Master Helio Gracie was a great man and was loved by all of his fellow countryman.
Never has a man in my lifetime been able to share such a wonderful gift to the world.

Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the best martial arts today as it was when Grand Master Helio Gracie became it's founder.

It was passed down from his older brothe who had learned from a family friend from Japan.

However, it came to be that Grand Master Helio Gracie found weaknesses in the Japanese art of Jiu Jitsu.

Grand Master Helio Gracie made modifications to moves that then became the new complete jiu jitsu which was quickly named Brazilan Jiu Jitsu or Gracie jiu Jitsu.

Brazil went crazy for a martial Art so effective that also said Brazil in the name. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was always being challenged by masters of other martial art styles. However the Gracie family and it's disciples would prove to anyone who challenged them or their Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, what made Gracie Jiu Jitsu different.

The little guy becomes a hero in Jiu Jitsu because that's the way Grand Master Helio Gracie designed it. Himself a smaller man, knew all to well that the smaller man needed an advantage on the ground.

Grand Master Helio Gracie always challenged himself and his students. He wanted the world to know that he and his family were the best of the best in hand to hand combat.

Grand Master Helio Gracie was is still the best of the best and we love sharing his gift with others.
